The County of Prince Edward works with a variety of groups and organizations in support of youth activities and youth involvement in recreation, culture and heritage.
Youth Advisory Committee
The County has established the Youth Advisory Committee to represent all youth in the County by advising the County of Prince Edward Municipal Council on any matter pertaining to youth. The Committee meets on a regular basis to discuss issues of importance to youth.
Over the past two years the Youth Advisory Committee has improved communication with youth and County of Prince Edward Municipal Council through:

Youth Empowerment Symposium "YES 2005"
•
Meeting with representatives of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board to present issues of importance to youth in the community
•
A bulletin board has been set up at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute in Picton continuing the link between youth in the community and youth in school.
