Manager of Recreation and Culture: Wendy Lane
The Recreation and Culture section of the Recreation, Parks and Culture department strives to ensure that opportunities exist for the provision of, and participation in, recreational and cultural activities for people who live in and visit the County of Prince Edward.
This section fosters a community development approach to the provision of recreational and cultural opportunities by providing supports to the many organizations and groups that volunteer to offer these services. With the two full-time staff, two seasonal staff and summer students the following are provided:

The Manager of Recreation and Culture is a departmental liasion on the Cultural Roundtable and involved in the implementation of the Municipal Cultural Policy.

Sophiasburgh Outdoor Activity Pad
The Sophiasburgh Ward Recreation Committee with the County of Prince Edward received funding through the Bell Community Sport Fund and the True Sport Movement. For more information about True Sport click on the logo.
Communities In Action Fund
The County of Prince Edward has received funding to develop a Physical activity Plan for the County through the Ontario Government Health Promotion Department and Active2010. For more information about Active2010 click on the logo.
Funding for Physical Activity
The County of Prince Edward is partnering with Canadian Tire to ensure that children have access to funding to participate in sport activities.
