Specialized Transit

Specialized Transit LogoOn April 10, 2007, County Council approved a specialized transit service in the County of Prince Edward for its physically disabled and elderly population. The financial and volunteer assistance of the Prince Edward District Women's Institute was instrumental in starting this service.

The service, contracted with Quinte Access, provides door to door transit services to locations within Prince Edward County and beyond.

The program requires all eligible riders to register through an application process and trips must be scheduled one day in advance. Priority will be given to riders with physical disabilities. Medical appointments will take precedence over social trips.

The service currently runs four days per week (Tuesday through Friday).

For further information contact the Manager of Properties.

The toll-free contact phone number to reserve trip times is          1-855-283-9640.
