Physical Properties
Manager of Physical Properties: Ron Dubyk
The Physical Properties section is responsible for maintenance and repairs to all County buildings. This section also oversees the custodial services for most of the municipally owned buildings.
Physical Properties provides assistance with maintenance and repairs to the Libraries, McFarland Home and various Public Works facilities.
With the 3 full-time employees and through contracted services the Physical Properties section provides:
Harbours and Marinas liaison:

Administration of Snow Removal for Town Halls |

Oversees departmental construction and special projects |
• |
Liaison to Planning for projects from Ward Recreation |
• |
Committees and Museums |
• |
Winterizing and opening of seasonal facilities |
• |
Coordinates Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Testing/Fire Extinguishers for municipal buildings |
• |
Maintaining building security systems and administering Security services contracts for department |
• |
Responsible for departmental signage |
• |
Facility renovations or repairs for community halls and museums |
In addition, the Manager of Physical Properties is the staff contact for several committees and initiatives including Specialized Transit and Accessibility and Harbour Advisory.
