Effective January 1st, 2011 brush (including Christmas trees and clean lumber) will no longer be accepted at the Hallowell and Wellington sites due to operational and MOE restrictions. The County of Prince Edward will continue to accept brush for burning at the Ameliasburgh, Hillier, Sophiasburgh and South Marysburgh sites.
Disposal of Construction Waste Changes
Effective July 12, 2010, Construction waste will no longer be accepted at the landfill sites located at:
Ameliasburgh - 245 Valley Road
Hillier - 450 Bakker Road
South Marysburgh - 1132 Old Milford Road
Construction waste will only be accepted at the following transfer sites located at:
Sophiasburgh - 35 County Road 14
Hallowell - 1080 Shannon Road
Picton - 37 Church St
Wellington - 275 Consecon St
Ameliasburgh (245 Valley Road)
Wellington (275 Consecon Street)
Hillier (450 Bakker Road)
South Marysburgh (1132 Old Milford Road)
Tires are accepted at the four landfill sites only.
Three Transfer Sites:
Picton (37 Church Street)
Hallowell (1080 Shannon Road)
Sophiasburgh (35 County Road 14)
Household garbage is $3 per bag at all Sites.
