There are four planned Household Hazardous Waste days in Prince Edward County as shown on the schedule provided by Quinte Waste Solutions.

Look for “Give Away” paint and other materials collected through the hazardous waste program and the Belleville depot located at 75 Wallbridge Road.

County residents can use the Household Hazardous Waste Depots established in Quinte West & Belleville when they are open.

Examples of Hazardous waste not accepted at Landfill/Transfer Sites are:

•  Paint - thinners, rust removers, glues and cements
•  Oils, transmission fluids, fuels
•  Ammonia based cleaners, drain cleaners, metal/glass
    cleaners
•  Fertilizers, chlorine bleach
•  Batteries, butane lighters
•  Computers - Monitors, keyboards and mouse, hard drives,
    scanners, etc.
•  Propane tanks
•  Explosives
•  Fluorescent tubes & medical syringes
