Historic Road Names Ad Hoc Committee

Duties and Functions: To review and consider if County should address and identify historic road names on County road signage. Terms of Reference are as follows:
a) To review costs, concerns / impacts to emergency services and County operations if historic names are added/appended to existing County roadside signage, or installed as separate signage, and report to Council with recommendations;
b) If directed by Council to continue, to develop a list of historic/local road names for consideration, and to propose a public review for approval by Council;
c) To hold necessary public meetings and report to Council with final recommendations; and
d) To follow the general guidelines laid out within this report. They meet as required. The Historic Road Names Ad Hoc Committee reports to Council through the Public Works Committee.
