By-Law Enforcement

The County of Prince Edward By-law Enforcement Services conducts enforcement of various municipal by-laws. The objective of the By-law Enforcement Officer is to attempt to obtain compliance through education and mediation although in absence of the foregoing may result in fines and injunctions.

By-law enforcement in all areas can be twenty-four hours per day; seven days a week (see Canine/By-law Enforcement).

The following are examples of the type of enforcement provided by the By-law Enforcement Department:

Parking Enforcement
