The mandate of the Prince Edward - Lennox and Addington Social Services Committee is to provide municipal services management for Ontario Works, Child Care and Social Housing in both Prince Edward County and the County of Lennox and Addington as per the terms of agreement between the Corporation of the County of Prince Edward and the Corporation of the County of Lennox and Addington.
Social Services for Prince Edward is managed through a Consolidated Municipal Service Manager with the County of Lennox and Addington. The consolidation agreement stipulates that the administrative agent will be the County of Lennox and Addington. The Social Services committee meets monthly and the chair/vice chair rotates annually between municipalities. Annual budgets are approved by both municipal Councils.
