Ambulance Service in the County of Prince Edward is provided under contract by the Hastings-Quinte EMS service and encompasses the provision of emergency and non-emergency ambulance services as defined under the Ambulance Act, (RSO 1990, c. A. 19, as amended), in order to ensure clinical excellence, cost containment and professional service.

Prince Edward operates two ambulances, one of which is on duty 24 hours a day 7 days per week and the second, 12 hours a day 7 days per week. We also share a spare backup with the Hastings County fleet. Between the two counties the service is virtually seamless. Ambulance service is enhanced with on staff Advanced Care Paramedics.

The service in Prince Edward County operates from a new 6,000 sq. ft. specialized facility at 12 MacSteven Drive, Picton.
