Accessibility

The County of Prince Edward and the Prince Edward Accessibility Advisory Committee are working together to promote and educate Accessibility Awareness in the community.  We are continually finding and implementing new ways to remove barriers that prevent a person with a disability from participating fully in society because of his or her disability.

The duties and functions of the Accessibility Advisory Committee are to provide advice to Council each year with regard to the preparation, implementation and effectiveness of the municipality’s accessibility plan which is monitored and will be reviewed annually. The primary goal of the Committee and Council is to improve accessibility and mobility of residents and visitors within the County through the development of its accessibility plan.

As our work develops in this area, information will be provided here.
